Practical Advice for Visual Artists

This three-hour lecture provides straightforward advice for artists interested in obtaining exhibitions, building their resume, marketing and promoting their work, and finding gallery representation. Topics include:

  • How do you know when you are ready to start showing your work?
  • Where do you fit in and how do you get there?
  • How do you approach galleries and art critics?
  • How do you effectively market yourself?
  • What are the do's and don'ts in promoting your art?

Mclean Fine Art is constantly researching venues, resources, networking with gallery directors and arts administrators, and scouting opportunities for artists in order to provide the most up-to-date information available.

Practical Advice for Visual Artists is available to small (minimum 10) and large groups, arts collectives, colleges, universities, nonprofits and artist groups.
