Front & Center is a unique exhibition and art sale featuring the artwork of over twenty invited emerging and established artists benefiting the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center, curated by Ashley McLean Emenegger of McLean Fine Art. The exhibition and sale opens on June 20th and continues through July 15 at the Center's Advocate and Gochis Galleries on McCadden Place. A portion of art sales will directly support the Center's invaluable programming, which includes free and low-cost health, mental health, HIV/AIDS medical care and HIV/STD testing and prevention, as well as legal, social, cultural, and educational services, with unique programs for seniors, families and youth, including a 24-bed transitional home for homeless youth.

Preview Reception: A special preview reception will be held on Saturday, June 17, from 6p to 9p. Tickets for this reception are $65 and can be obtained by calling 323.993.7638 or by visiting the Center's website at www.lagaycenter.org (under "events").

Featured artists include: Oksana Badrak, John Baldessari, Bill Barminski, Sharon Ben-Tal, Wendy Burton, Jo Ann Callis, Davis & Davis, David Hockney, Salomon Huerta, JC Jaress, Alex Katz, Kim McCarty, Michael C. McMillen, David Meanix, Jeff Miller, Nancy Monk, Ed Moses, Lori Nix, Timothy Nolan, Antonio Adriano Puleo, Robert Rauschenberg, Sonia Romero, James Rosenquist, Richard Serra, David Trulli, Miller Updegraff, and Leslie Yagar.

About Ashley McLean Emenegger:
Ashley McLean Emenegger has juried and curated scores of fine art and video exhibitions throughout Los Angeles. Her exhibitions have been reviewed in the Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, the LA Business Journal, and Artweek. She also serves as curator and art advisor to numerous nonprofit groups and charity events. As the former Executive Director of Gallery 825/LAAA, a nonprofit supporting emerging Southern Californian artists, she presented hundreds of critically recognized exhibitions and programs. She founded McLean Fine Art in September 2004.
