Los Angeles, CA — April 1, 2006 — fresh stART is an exciting one-night sale of paintings, works on paper, and photography of over 100 local and national artists to benefit therapeutic art programs for at-risk youth. 50% of art sales go to "My Friend's Place" and "A Window Between Worlds", and 50% to the artists.

Founded in 2001, fresh stART, the annual fundraising event of the McCall Family Foundation, is a one-night art exhibition and sale with two distinct goals.

Our primary goal is to fund programs that provide arts-related therapies to children designated "at-risk." Secondly, fresh stART strives to stimulate the arts in Los Angeles by providing potential collectors with a personal connection to both established and emerging artists.

The McCall Family Foundation is a 501(c)(3). Sources of funding include the benefit exhibition and private and corporate donations. fresh stART operates wholly through the efforts of volunteers.

Ashley McLean Emenegger has been involved with fresh stART since its inception in 2001, hosting it debut at Gallery 825 where she was serving as Executive Director.

About Ashley McLean Emenegger:
Ashley McLean Emenegger has juried and curated scores of fine art and video exhibitions throughout Los Angeles. Her exhibitions have been reviewed in the Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, the LA Business Journal, and Artweek. She also serves as curator and art advisor to numerous nonprofit groups and charity events. As the former Executive Director of Gallery 825/LAAA, a nonprofit supporting emerging Southern Californian artists, she presented hundreds of critically recognized exhibitions and programs. She founded McLean Fine Art in September 2004.
